This project has been a long time coming. It all started back in 2011 when Ken and Pete heard Stacey singing at PBGB’s  favourite haunt ‘The Cheeky Mango’.

They thought Stacey sounded pretty special and displayed enormous potential.

Ken is a founding member of The Steve Clark Trio, and sure enough, before too long, Stacey started to appear on stage as special guest for the Trio at their gigs at The Wharf, the Supper Club at Club Sapphire, and the Merimbula Jazz Festival.

Stacey was honoured to be playing in such esteemed company.  Ken, Mark and Steve were mentoring and coaching Stacey onwards and upwards.

One of the founding PBGB Principles is that “Each of us has more to learn. We encourage learning, stretching”.

So it was that Ken, Stacey and Pete agreed that a great way to ‘stretch’ Stacey would be to give her an opportunity to record some quality tracks. Recording brings the opportunity to listen back and reflect......to consider.........to fine tune your performance.

Ken sets very high standards, and before too long had arranged for a day (early July 2013) on which none other than Steve Clark and Mark Bolsius would groove with Ken to support Stacey on a few songs in The Shed.

Talk about Top Shelf musicians !!  Lucky Stacey !!

With Neil at the controls we recorded three songs at the top of this page.

These three songs take the playing and recording of jazz in The Shed to a new benchmark. No doubt about it.

So thank you very much  to all involved................

To Stacey for participating throughout the whole Project with your typical enthusiasm and sense of fun.

To Steve and Mark for appreciating what this was all about, for giving up your time, and for playing so very well

To Neil, for working to achieve such great sounds – well done Mr Producer !

And to Ken, who has put his values out front, again, and worked tirelessly to guide this Project through from start to finish. A fantastic display of support for your fellow musicians Brother Ken.  Oh yea, and your drumming ain’t half bad either !!

Super results thank you team.

But wait...................there's more ....

We know Stacey will be back in The Shed ‘fore too long. That is why we have created this Special PBGB Project. We intend to post more of Stacey right here, so stay tuned.
